Anxiety involves factors that include excessive worry, nervousness, trouble concentrating, and irritability. Many of these symptoms may also occur in depression, which is characterized by feelings of hopelessness about the future, sadness, being unmotivated, and having little desire to participate in your life. Insomnia is, by far, the most common among all sleep disorders. Insomnia is a chronic condition that involves having trouble falling asleep and/or staying asleep. Insomnia may be caused by a range of conditions or lifestyle factors. For instance, some people experience insomnia due to a medical condition like chronic pain, hyperthyroidism, or gastrointestinal issues. Drugs and alcohol may also affect one’s ability to sleep. In addition, drinking caffeine too late in the day, eating certain foods, and napping may all affect sleep quantity and quality.
